How much time will I need to devote to the program?
What you put in, you get out. I’ve designed this program to be like a course and it has the best of everything I know how to truly begin to heal your body at the root while cleansing your lymph and teaching your body to start to burn fat versus store it. Your health means everything because without it you have nothing. For time, I recommend 4-6 hours per week to listen to the videos and calls and to prep food, do some additional shopping and do some journalling.
How do i know if this is the best fit for me? What is your refund policy?
If you’ve watched my videos, read my blog and website then you will know who I am, what i’m about and the value I can give you. My intention is for you to receive incredible value, transformation and results through this experience. Every effort has been put into this program to be a catalyst for you to do so. This 18 Day Challenge will not always be easy and it’s not supposed to be. I know from experience personally and with my clients that when you do the home fun and the things I tell you to do, you will get results. This program comes with 100% money back guarantee. If after 30 days of your registration date you are not completely satisfied, all I ask is that you turn in all of your home fun and work that we do in the program. I know that when you do the work, you’ll see results. If you’ve done the work and you’re not satisfied then I don’t want your money. I’ll happily offer you a full refund.
Do you offer a payment plan?
I do not for this program but it is available for my Mastermind and private coaching.
What if I don’t see results? What if this won’t work for me? I feel like I’m a hopeless case.
You are always winning the game you are playing and that is your part of your problem. You are playing the wrong game. You are living into an identity that continues to believe that you “this won’t work for you”. Even if you have every intention to do whatever it takes, but your subconscious mind keeps saying, “this won’t work for me”, it will not work for you. Part of what makes the 18 Day Challenge so powerful for people is that you learn how to change some of your core beliefs around loving yourself while releasing the old patterns that have been sabotaging you for most of your life. If you want a healthier life and you want the results that you dream of, then you must be willing to do something different. Instead of telling yourself, “this won’t work for me” or “what if I can’t do this?”… ask yourself these questions instead.
How can this work for me?
How can I do this different than I’ve ever done before?
By asking yourself different questions, you will absolutely get different results. Pay attention to that voice in your head that wants to go back to the old questions and old patterns that haven’t served you in the past.
Will I get cravings?
Most people report that their cravings change and evolve. It’s a big myth to eliminate cravings. As human’s, it’s natural for us to have desire and cravings and during the program you will learn how to evolve your emotions and listen to your body differently so your cravings evolve with you.
Can I exercise?
Yes, of course. Keep exercise as a regular part of your routine. I recommend 3-6 times per week for 12-30 minutes per day at your ideal aerobic training heart rate (180-minus your age). Be as active as you can. Get plenty of movement, fresh air and fun activities in daily.
Will I like the food?
The food on this program is delicious and there is a lot of freedom to make dishes that suit your needs. You will never be forced to eat something that you don’t like and there are so many options. We have the Love Yourself Naked recipe book as well as meal plan ideas to help guide you.
When will I see results?
This is different for everyone, as all bodies operate differently. This is not a ‘traditional’ detox or weight loss plan. This is a holistic way of eating, using the natural systems in your body that will work for your body versus against it. In terms of weight loss, some people have lost 5-15 pounds during the cleanse and many people have continued to lose weight afterward. Let me be clear… weight loss is not necessarily an accurate way to measure “results” either. Turning your body into a “fat burning machine” versus a “sugar burning machine” will serve you much more in terms of results. Measuring your BMI (body mass index) or you pH Balance are good ways to measure results. I’m not a fan of scales… they are probably the poorest way to measure results that people use.
I recommend asking yourself what measurement tool is important to you. Maybe it’s about “how you feel” or “how your jeans fit” or “how your skin looks” or “your pH Balance” etc. You get to choose.
Should I be taking pills or supplements?
You should always consult a doctor before starting or stopping any vitamins or medications prescribed to you. I highly recommend that you get a blood test to find out all vitamin, mineral levels and your vitals. The best way to supplement is to do it with knowledge as to where your body is at. Schedule a blood test as soon as possible if you have not lately. The content in this manual is written by a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner who is backed by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. The recommendations for herbs, vitamins, and supplements have been suggested from experience and working in conjunction with medical doctors. While sugar cleansing and detox can bring on withdrawal symptoms, I strongly suggest that you take the supplements recommended. Additional supplements are a huge support to the detox experience and to overall health. While we don’t all need supplements when we eat whole foods, the truth is that our soil and food is not as nutrient rich as it once was and supplementation can be a great value.
Should I take my vitamins during the detox?
Cross reference your vitamin list with the one’s that are recommended in the 18 Day Love Yourself Naked Challenge Cleanse. If you have specific questions, post them to the forum. You should always consult a doctor before starting or stopping any vitamins or medications prescribed to you. The content in this manual is written by a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner who is backed by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Again, check with your doctor or a blood test for further questions on what works best for your body.
Should I take my medications?
You should always consult a doctor before starting or stopping any vitamins or medications prescribed to you. Although it is recommended to stop the use of many medications and drugs to get the full effect of any detox, never, ever stop taking a medication that has been prescribed by your doctor without consulting with him/her first.
Will the detox be stressful?
Stress management could be a 18 day course in itself, wouldn’t you agree? The benefits of this cleanse are increased greatly when we can decrease the stress in our life. In fact, stats show that sugar, packaged/processed foods, caffeine and inflammatory foods increase our load of stress. Utilize this cleanse as an opportunity for you to de-stress. Take a bath versus a shower. Extend your lunch break. Stop and slow down and do your best to step out of the fast paced world we live in.
Do I have to cleanse my home as well?
No, of course not. However, after years and years of coaching clients on health, it’s never ONLY about the food. There is always something deeper: relationship stress, spiritual stress, or career stress, and sometimes even pain from the past. Also, environmental toxins are a huge opportunity. The most toxic environment we are exposed to is our home, believe it or not. Getting rid of toxic lotions, cleaners, soaps, shampoos and other household supply’s is recommend. Clearing clutter is helpful as well. This specific step is designed specifically because emotional baggage is often connected to “things” we cannot get rid of and these “things” often manifest within our bodies. If you can implement a little of the above steps, your sense of freedom and health will definitely be better than it is currently.
I’m feeling a bit gassy, why is that?
When we begin eating a high fiber diet this begins to scrub the intestinal villi and can cause some digestive disturbance. We also eat necessary fermented foods, which may take some time for your body to adjust too. This is normal. As the main detox progresses, you will start to heal the now cleansed intestinal villi and regulate your digestion. The gut should feel soothed by the end. In fact, that is one of our main goals in this cleanse… to heal your gut. I highly recommend choosing foods from the fermented foods list and continuing to add these in daily. If you find that you are too gassy, do not stop the high fiber or fermented foods completely, but instead scale back to tiny amounts until your body regulates.
Can I drink lemon water during the detox?
Lemons help to stimulate the digestive process and can be useful anytime. I strongly recommend warm lemon water upon waking each morning. I don’t like to drink strictly lemon water all day though, as the effect of plain water has a great detoxing effect and too much lemon isn’t good for your teeth.
Is one small bowel movement a day normal during the main detox?
Yes, this is perfectly normal. This is why we have the basic bowel care protocol, so please follow it accordingly. We all want to have at least one per day during the cleanse program.
Wow, I feel horrible today. Is this from toxins being released, or from not eating enough? Is this normal?
Up days are common, and so are down days. This could be a toxic release – drink more water and move your body to sweat it out (even though you may not feel like it). A nice brisk walk can make a huge difference. It could be an emotional release as well – if so it might help to practice random acts of kindness even though you have no desire to do so. Meditation can help. Are you eating enough? You can also increase the size of your breakfast or lunch and increase the amount of warm water you are sipping throughout the day.
My back hurts really bad and so does the back of my legs. Is this normal?
This isn’t uncommon. It doesn’t happen to everyone but if it happens to you, don’t freak out and it will eventually pass. Your lower back likely hurts due to your kidney’s and liver detoxing. When we begin to support our body with healthy nutrients and take out substances that have been causing so much strain on our organs, we sometimes feel pain in our body. Drink lots of extra water and also extra dandelion root tea throughout the day. Stop the tea before 6pm, otherwise you’ll be up all night going to the bathroom. Please reach out to email@example.com or to Renee on the forum if you have specific concerns beyond 2-3 days.
I feel like I have the flu and I’m getting sick. Is this normal?
Yes, this happens from time to time with some people. Detox and withdrawal symptoms show up differently in each person and when we get sick, it is actually your bodies way of healing itself. Yes, it’s the opposite of what you think. Fever, chills, nausea or flu-like symptoms are not your body telling you that you are sick, they are actually telling you that your body is in a healing crisis. Support it fully with chicken soup, warm broth, lots of room temperature water and good protein sources. A combination of vitamin C vitamin D and zinc a necessary support for you as well.
I have the worst headache/migraine.
This is a common withdrawal symptom and I know it’s a bummer, i’ve been there. Exercise can really help relieve these. I also recommend using ice packs, drinking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with warm water, lemon and cinnamon with a small teaspoon of raw honey (only use raw honey for this purpose, it’s not allowed daily in the program). Increase your vitamin C, stay active and get fresh air. Drinking Magnesium or taking a pill supplement can make a huge difference. I like the “Natural Calm Brand”. Be sure you are eating well and masturbation helps sometimes too.
Am I supposed to be losing weight?
What most people don’t tell you, is that when you make big changes to your diet or you cleanse, you sometimes gain weight (just a few pounds) before you lose it. This is actually normal. So many people do not know this and then they see the weight gain and throw in the towel (see next paragraph). Weight loss is not the only determining factor if fat is lost. Our primary focus is on teaching your body to burn fat versus sugar. Weight is also affected by the lymph. Are you sipping warm water throughout the day? Using a rebounder? Are you moving your body? If you are less hungry and not having a big appetite, you are burning fat. Once your body is burning fat regularly, you will start to see weight come off.
It is common to gain weight at the beginning of most detoxes and plans. Why? Your body is changing and adjusting to a new way of eating and you’ve put it into shock because you took out things that it has gotten used to. People see a few pounds gained for these reasons and they tend to get discouraged and quit. Don’t make that mistake. Wait it out and then the body see’s what’s happening and the weight drops. It’s normal and natural and those pounds will come off. By the way, don’t weigh yourself or use a scale. I see know value in scales and secondly focus your mindset on burning fat and versus losing weight.
How do I make sure I am burning fat to cleanse my body properly?
If your body has been burning sugar (versus fat) for quite sometime, it may take a little while for it to flip back into fat-burning mode. Be patient and keep working the program, you’ll see results. The body of a sugar burning person has abdominal fat, age spots, cravings for sugar/sweets. The unhealthy situation of being a sugar burner is that it messes with your hypothalamus in the brain and signals to burn more sugar. This eventually causes the leptin hormone levels and insulin levels to get confused. Leptin levels are the biggest key to body fat management and so if we have become insulin and leptin resistant, this person will find it more difficult to keep their blood sugar managed until they change their body back into a fat burner.
Make sure you are eating lots of good fats daily, eat lots of healthy fiber and veggies. Eat sufficient amounts of protein daily while cutting out empty carbs and sugars.
